More Trees Planted 🌳 by Priyanka Chakraborty

(In this image: Priyanka with her Guava Tree Sapling) Today, I went to a beautiful place near Guwahati city. I planted a Guava Tree Sapling. This is just a small step towards the Climate Action. As a Climate Activist myself, I'm very happy to share with you all about the Guava Tree Sapling. In today's world, environmental problems are becoming increasingly severe, with climate change, deforestation, and air pollution being just a few of the major issues we face. However, one simple solution that we can all contribute to is planting trees. Trees are essential for the health of our planet and can have a significant impact on improving our environment. My Planting Tree Journey: How I Started With A Small Step For Our Planet Earth

I have always been passionate about the environment and wanted to do something impactful for it. That's why I decided to start planting trees in my backyard, in my neighbourhood, and in any place that needed some greenery. With this, I decided to start my initiative, SAVE & PLANT TREES!, whose objective is to basically promote sustainability and climate advocacy by simply planting trees and preserving them. Planting trees is not only a way to beautify the surroundings but also a way to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, provide oxygen, prevent soil erosion, and create habitats for wildlife. Trees are also known to have positive impacts on human health, such as reducing stress, improving mood, and enhancing cognitive function. More greenery means more improvement in various aspects of life and also for this planet. My journey basically started when I planted a few tree saplings that I bought from a local nursery. I learned how to care for them, how to water them, how to prune them...

My Visit to a Government School | World Environment Day 2025

On 5th June 2025, on the occasion of World Environment Day, I had the honour of being invited to a government school in India. As an Environmentalist and Educator/Mentor, it was truly heartening to engage with a group of young, bright minds who are not only curious but deeply eager to contribute to real climate action. I spent the day connecting with students and introducing them to the importance of environmental awareness—discussing simple yet impactful actions they can take to make a difference. From understanding the impact of plastic pollution to the benefits of planting trees and conserving water, their enthusiasm was truly inspiring. The teachers, too, were incredibly supportive and enthusiastic, eager to understand more and pass on this awareness to future generations. This experience reaffirmed my belief that change begins with awareness, and the seeds of that change can—and must—be sown in our classrooms. These children are not just the future; they are the hope of today. If ...
